
Andrew Clearwater
Andrew Clearwater is a Senior Fellow at the Future of Privacy Forum where he focuses his work on mobile and smart grid privacy. He is also a Fellow at the Center for Law & Innovation where he researches and speaks about privacy and co-teaches Information Privacy Law, Foundations of Privacy Law, & Advanced Data Security & Management. His recent consulting projects include providing advice on Do Not Track to leaders of the behavioral advertising industry and providing legal research and analysis on open access to government data in the UK to a leading registered UK charity working to increase access to data. He previously worked for Harvard’s Berkman Center for Internet and Society analyzing how markets are affected by open access to information.
Andrew received an LLM in Global Law and Technology with a concentration in Information Technology from Suffolk University Law School. Andrew also has a JD from the University of Maine School of Law and a BA from the University of Maine at Farmington. He is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US).
